Dr. Mete Durum

Philosphy

Dr. Durum's philosophy of practice is that a doctor must never stop learning and must continue to have more resources and options for patients to meet their increasing demands. Patients are growing much more educated about healthcare and demand that their doctor is up to date in their knowledge and protocol as well as having the latest technology and techniques available for them. This is precisely what Dr. Durum saw in coming to Gordin Medical Center.

Dr. Durum believes that there is no magic pill for immediate cure of a condition, injury, or disease. In order to reach optimal health, certain stages of healing have to be accomplished. Beyond reaching the first stage of relief, restoring a favorable environment with exercise, nutrition, or making lifestyle modification in order to stabilize a condition, illness, or injury is of great importance.

Professional Experience

Dr. Durum owned and managed his own chiropractic practice for twelve years (1989-2001). As well as diagnosing and treating a large variety of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, he practiced as a Chiropractic Internist which included performing lab work, circulatory Doppler studies, and Electrocardiograms (EKG) to rule out internal disorders and to introduce lifestyle management and nutritional therapy to help patients regain their health. Wishing to be a part of a multidisciplinary practice, he joined a practice (2001-2005) where he gained experience in an environment with other Chiropractic Physicians, Medical Doctors, and Physical Therapists working in a team effort where the patient had multiple available healthcare options under one roof.

On January of 2006, Dr. Durum joined the team of a much larger multidisciplinary team at Gordin Medical Center. Not only was he happy to work with a larger variety of health care providers and specialists, but was amazed at the level of technology and the variety of techniques that Gordin Medical Center used at the clinic to help patients reach optimal health.
